Does it cost anything to publish?

PetsNews.co.uk was launched in January 2009. The aim of the site is to be a central location for the issue of Pet related news, updates, articles and information. During the first six months development of this site we will only be offering publishing accounts to Premium Listings on Pets Directory or Vets Directory who entitled to publish up to six articles on Pets News per annum as part of their premium account.

Alternatively a publishing account starts from just £95 plus vat for six months (or £125 plus vat per annum for annual accounts) for our Starter Account. During subscription periods you can create up to 2 articles per month (equal to as low as £5.21 plus vat per article).

Articles can include links to your website and include keywords and are search engine indexed. Quality articles and updates are a great way t promote particular news and information online.

If you find you need to publish more articles you can upgrade to our Premium Account which is only available as an annual account. This costs £225 plus VAT per annum and entitles you to publish up to 36 articles per annum with a monthly limit 6 articles per month. This suits businesses more who publish lots of news and updates and may be more seasonal businesses.

Premium Plus Account holders get the same as Premium Account holders plus a 120x240 banner ad or 468x60 banner ad circulated across PetsNews.co.uk and our portfolio of pets related websites including a lead site www.PetsDirectory.co.uk. Banner adverts are hosted and distributed by www.onlinebanneradverts.com and ads can be designed for you or you can supply your own banner. Premium Plus costs £295 plus VAT per annum plus if applicable a £48 plus VAT one off banner design charge.

Articles are free to read and surf and featured articles are distributed across our portfolio of pets websites.

How do I get a publishing account?

Contact us via our contract page or Register at Pets Directory and we will set you up with a login and password (unless we are not satisfied that you are a genuine pets news publisher) and the you will then be able to login and publish your latest articles, updates and releases live online. The trial period also enables us to review articles submitted in order to liaise with you accordingly during your free trial period.

Will my articles appear online immediately?

Not usually. We review the articles submitted for quality, relevance, content and links included. This is to maintain the quality of this site. Articles normally go live within 24 to 48 hours.

Are there any conditions for article content?

Yes. In order to maintain a high quality resource that users will want to keep using articles must be of a high quality. Articles should ideally be:

Articles should be between 400 and 1500 words in size.
Well written.
Informative.
Factually correct.
Can include pictures.
Not be offensive or rude.
Not include copyright protected material (this is the sole responsibility of the author or person submitting the article for publication on Pets News).

Are my articles search engine friendly?

Yes. Articles and news are published on this site in a search engine friendly way in order to obtain the maximum impact of your article online. Key words can be set for articles in order to target the article to people searching or interested in the articles particular content.

Do I have to publish my articles myself?

No. If you supply us with your drafted article in an agreed format plus any images to be included we will submit and publish and edit the article for you.
